About Jill

Having been passed the director’s baton (1992) for the renowned Ruth Sweet Acting Studio, (Nashville), I taught voice classes and acting classes and subsequently began my professional dialect career. Ms. Sweet, nationally recognized acting teacher and conservatory founder, mentored me to teach. She helped me land my first film as a dialogue and dialect coach in 1993.  Over the past twenty years, I have gone on to coach numerous projects in film, television and theatre. I am especially proud to have worked with Academy Award winner Bruce Beresford (LAST DANCE) and the late Sidney Lumet (GLORIA). I have coached many wonderful actors and have had the great fortune to work with Sharon Stone on several projects. Though I keep names of private clients private, some additional actors I have enjoyed coaching  on set include, Sir Ian Holm, SAG-AFTRA president Ken Howard, Cary Elwes, Robb Morrow,  Peter Gallagher,  Jack Thompson,  Skeet Ulrich, Claire van der Boom and many others.  I also love coaching for theatre.  Most recently I got to help a wonderful Los Angeles cast create voices of Dublin for the audience and (17 rave reviews) critics favorite,  Good People Theatre Co.’s “A Man of No Importance,” directed by the incredibly talented Janet Miller.
